this was the core message conveyed throughout the 10 pages delivered to me yesterday. a copy of the manifesto has also been taken to the nursery this morning, possibly to make the other children follow his cause….

thank goodness we have a few years left to get him off that idea again…

for some reason flickr leaves certain images blank after using mosaic maker. very odd. instead of having a gaping white hole in my mosaic i filled it with a doodle, which is better than nothing.

I’m this much plus one and a half decades today. although my blogging absence isn’t down to pre-birthday depression, i have to say that the last few weeks haven’t been easy - mainly because of health issues, which i hope are now coming to an end!

an instant pick me up was opening this beautiful, beautiful birthday present. I’m a great fan of ashley goldberg’s work - thank you so much amy!

and: although in switzerland valentine’s day does not extend beyond one’s partner (and even then a lot of people don’t "do" valentine’s day), and seeing as i have been running this blog for over two years now, i’d like to take the opportunity and wish everyone a happy day tomorrow - those close and those far away, who have been coming along for the ride for the past two years, those who have recently found their way here - thank you for coming along, it has been a pleasure and i look forward to being a part of this community for a long time to come.

at this point i would have loved to pay forward the immense honour katrin paid me with her nomination, but i admit, i cannot do it. i mean, look at the sidebar to the right - how could i ever make a shortlist of my ever-expanding reading list? i love them all, they inspire me all, and they are all worth a visit, as well as all the fabulous, creative and inspiring people on flickr.

…and new shoes! well, really they are made for warmer weather, but anyhow - the bag was made after this tutorial and using an IKEA shower curtain (yes, you read that right…! does that mean it’s water proof? hm), i made a slightly wider strap and didn’t go for the button closure - i love it and it’s just the right size.
